But the personal is always universal, and the album ultimately reflects the heart of Life itself the deeply human need to overcome all hardship and adversity.
  2. Arol is the mother of the Zendik arts commune, and this was her first effort at singing after the death of her husband, Wulf Zendik, the leader of the commune. In the late s and early '90s the Zendik commune was on a farm near Bastrop, Texas, about a forty-five minute drive from Austin, but they maintained a very strong presence in Austin.
